A mission on the West Coast of Scotland

I wanted to photograph a series of panoramic images of mountains and sea scapes for my quickly approaching exhibition in London in July. I started off in Glencoe and am now on the Isle of Skye and here are the images so far

New Hugyfot Underwater camera housing dealer

Exciting news on the See Life website http://seelifethroughthelens.com/blog/?p=133 , we've been selected to represent Hugyfot in Southern England

New HUGYFOT Underwater housing

I'm really excited, I picked up a new underwater housing for my Canon 50D at the weekend. It's amazing, the quality if the build is even better than my 400D housing and the Hugycheck system is a brilliant idea reducing the risk of flooding your housing. Am hoping to get in at Swanage later weather permitting!

Manchester - no photos but a great discovery!

I had a really excellent weekend in Manchester, too few photos were taken but I met some of the lads from http://www.divelife.co.uk/, a great dive centre in Manchester and I got to play with Kate's Canon G9 - Wow! What a camera. A compact camera it has very little shutter delay between pressing the button and taking the picture and i...t has total manual control function, just like a DSLR but smaller, easier to carry around and obviously much more reasonable on the £££ side! The feature I liked best was the live time histogram, what an awesome function when composing your shots! BIG thanks to Kate for putting me up, introducing me to her Dive Centre guys and letting me play with her G9.

Tranquil Kimmeridge

I spent a couple of hours down at Kimmeridge last night and for the first time in a very long time I was the only person there, probably becasue of the weather front that kept threatening to pour down, fortuantely the worst I had to deal with was a few spots of rain (and a snake on the steps on the way down but that's another story!)

Long Ji Rice Terraces

The first day we were in china we made the long trek to Ping-An, a village in the mountain region of Long Ji. The trip consisted of a 2 hour bus ride in our coach, then transferring to a local bus for another 45 minutes then a long walk up the mountain side, wishing we'd taken one of the sedan chairs instead of choosing to climb the steps, to get to our hotel in Ping An.

A couple of photos from Viewpoint One (seven stars around the moon) at dawn
